About the Course
Join Simon Borg-Olivier — physiotherapist, co-founder of Yoga Synergy, and one of the most experienced yoga educators in the world — for a 7-night, 50-hour YACEP-accredited intensive at Lanka Yoga, Sri Lanka.
This week is designed for yoga professionals, teachers, and serious long-term practitioners — people with a genuine, committed practice rather than a casual or beginner-level interest. Most participants will have a 200-hour (or higher) background, but it is the depth of your practice that matters most. You'll spend 8 hours a day with Simon covering the Yoga Synergy method, 5-Dimensional Synergy Flow, applied anatomy and physiology, breathwork, and spinal movement.

FAQs
Who is Simon Borg-Olivier?
Physiotherapist, certified yoga therapist and co-founder of Yoga Synergy. Trained directly with Iyengar, Pattabhi Jois and Desikachar. 50+ years practice, 40+ years teaching globally. Co-author of Applied Anatomy and Physiology of Yoga (RMIT prescribed text).
Is this a yoga retreat or a teacher training?
An intensive continuing education course — more structured than a retreat, shorter than a full teacher training. Around 8 hours a day with Simon in practice, lectures and workshops. YACEP-accredited. But the all-inclusive format — lakefront accommodation, vegan meals, beach nearby — means it also has the feel of a retreat.
Do I need prior Yoga Synergy experience?
It is designed for yoga professionals, teachers and committed long-term practitioners; a 200-hour background is ideal but not a strict requirement. Simon teaches from first principles — the course works whether this is your first time with the method or you've been practising it for years.
How do I get to Lanka Yoga?
Fly into Colombo CMB. Lanka Yoga is about two hours south by car. We can help arrange a transfer. Galle Fort is 20 minutes along the coast.
