about the venue

We run Lanka Yoga with a few guiding principles that help explain the venue and its feel. We believe everyone here should have a positive experience, where they learn, relax, and feel good while they’re here. That is not only true of you the guests, but for us, our staff, and everyone passing through. Second, we want to give back to nature, we are rewilding areas of our land, planting trees in and around Lanka Yoga and working with the community to help keep our village beautiful. Furthermore, we use technology to help negate our impact. Solar panels, rainwater harvesting, and wastewater treatment are just some of the technologies used here.

At Lanka Yoga breakfast is included, homemade in our open plan kitchen by our lovely staff. Snacks and drinks are always available, and lunch and dinner can be provided if we know in advance. We also help organize trips, tuk-tuks, tours, yoga classes and both western and Ayurvedic massage on site.

Lanka Yoga is a place to relax, spend time, or even use as a base for your further travels around this beautiful coast. It is a relaxing cocoon of good energy and loving information with incredible comfort, unreal views and great people. We hope to share this magical place with you!

The yoga we teach is based on the principles of Yoga Synergy

Yoga Synergy is a practice founded on traditional yoga but approached with a modern understanding of human physiology and anatomy. Influenced by the forgotten yoga’s of China and Japan, this practice focuses on the how and why of movement and flowing practices which look a lot like Qi Gong. Our objective is to deepen and progress your yoga practice while allowing time to relax, reconnect with yourself, and explore this magical island.

The food is all vegan – all delicious

The all-vegan food is prepared by our chef and his lovely team. Much of the spices and veggies come from our garden. The food is refreshingly varied, with unique dishes served every day.

Treat yourself

Massages are available with our Ayurvedic specialist, or our sports therapists. All massage types complement the approach to yoga and offer an opportunity to further grow in this experience, or simply to do something good for your body.

Different activities available

There are many places to go when using Lanka Yoga as a base. There are beaches, restaurants, cafes, and more in the local area. The Lanka Yoga team can help you organize different activities every day. You’re more than welcome to spend your free time exploring on your own or just enjoying the venue.
