yoga retreat Sri Lanka
dance into the New Year with us
Our retreat is an all-inclusive, live-in, one-week escape into nature, held at our new venue Lanka Yoga on Koggala Lake. Learn and practice yoga, nourish your body with healthy plant-based food, and tune into deep conversations as you come together with like-minded friends in our little paradise.
Our objective is to deepen and progress your yoga practice while allowing time to relax, reconnect with yourself, and explore this magical island. So join this escape into nature and start 2023 with ease and joy.
December 28 – January 3 | Special New Year’s edition
about the retreat
Each day starts with an energising two-hour Yoga Synergy practice. After breakfast, you have the option to join our group activities, including surfing, excursions to the beach or a boat tour. Alternatively, you can stay at Lanka Yoga to enjoy the garden, relax at the pool, or treat yourself to a massage. The evening practise is varied, with yoga, workshops and journaling happening on different nights. On New Year’s Eve, our chef Mangala will cook us an extra special dinner.
The yoga program is based on the principles of Yoga Synergy
Yoga Synergy is a practice founded on traditional yoga but approached with a modern understanding of human physiology and anatomy. Influenced by the forgotten yoga’s of China and Japan, this practice focuses on the how and why of movement and flowing practices which look a lot like Qi Gong. Find more details about the yoga and the teachers in our info pack here.
The food is all vegan – all delicious
The all-vegan food is prepared by our chef, Mangala. Much of the spices and veggies come from Lanka Yoga’s garden.
The food is refreshingly varied, with unique dishes served every day.
Massages are available with our Ayurvedic specialist, or our friend Franco, for the entirety of the retreat. Franco’s profound way of working with the body and emotion complements the approach to yoga and offers an opportunity to further grow in this experience. Learn more about Franco here.
Different activities available each day
