Develop a strong and intelligent practice
Focusing on posture, movement, meditation and pranayama, our morning yoga session rewires your practice to be safer, stronger and more expressive. In workshops throughout the day we go into more detail, helping you to understand the hows and whys of common postures, sequences and exercises. In short, in the short time we have, we promise to re-build your practice from the ground up.
Develop teaching skills and communication
Bringing your knowledge and newfound practice together, we spend considerable time developing communication and teaching skills to transform you into a successful yoga teacher. A yoga teacher who can take their students to the next level. To achieve this, we work on our communication daily with teaching games, improvisation, and role play. This process is proven to help find your unique teaching voice and find success in the industry.
Get into detail
Utilizing our comprehensive yoga teacher training manual, we study the theory behind the practice. Included are talks and interactive workshops on topics like; yoga philosophy, anatomy and physiology, sequencing, alignment, yoga history yoga industry, yogic lifestyle and much more. These interactive talks help you understand the reasons behind our approach, and yoga in general.
Start your learning online today
Although there is a wait between today and when our course starts, we think it’s a good idea to start learning today. Included in this training is access to Stefan Camilleri’s online course ‘A New Yoga.’ This course is an introduction to the themes, and preparation for this training. It means you can get started right away and be prepared to take the best advantage of your time here.
We are very excited that all future trainings will be held at our new venue Lanka Yoga on Koggala Lake. A long-term dream, Jane and Stefan have been working hard to set this venue to be the perfect yoga teacher training space.
We have set this space up specifically for our needs with the perfect mix of rooms, great outdoor spaces, and an epic yoga shala. Furthermore, we have been able to set things us to be as ecologically sustainable as possible. There is so much to share, so to learn more check the YTT info pack for more details.
Yoga Synergy is modern yoga with a classical and anatomical twist. It’s less about crazy sequences and more about smart actions, intelligent movements and avoiding unnecessary physical stress. You could think of it as a more refined version of modern Vinyasa. The movements are more specific, the poses more purposeful, and the teaching style more intentional. There is a deep consideration given to the structure and alignment of each shape. Learn more about it in the info pack.
